YEAR

2015

Whistle worked with Taso Katsionis once again to design a set of document delivery tender boxes for a unqiue tender submission. The brief required a sustainable solution to complement the sustainable focus of the tender. We brainstormed a number of available materials and fabrication methods with Taso that had to fall within a strict budget. We conceptulised a number of ideas in CAD, before refining to a simple graphic solution that worked in well with Taso’s vision for the AUTO RORO submission. Focus was placed again on minimising weight, ensuring load capacity high enough to carry all required documents and maintaining the AUTO RORO aesthetic.

The final design was constructed in collaboration with a local supplier, using a sustainable plywood frame with graphic detail CNC’d into each panel. Finished with soft close hinges, a lift out tray for the tablet and folio, foam lined, and left raw for a natural finish.
