It’s onwards and upwards for the Whistle team as we welcome our very first intern to the studio – Olivia Pranic.
Olivia is currently completing her honours year of Industrial Design at RMIT and has a passion for the problem-solving nature of design. She has a wealth of wonderful experience, from spending a semester at the Rhode Island School of Design, to volunteering at Amauni Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Mexico City. There, she taught English and offered her talents through graphic design – connecting indigenous communities to the organisation’s various services and initiatives.
Olivia also enjoys taking on self-directed projects and challenging herself with competition submissions. She recently designed the playful ‘Squiggle Chair’ – her response to the Dowel Jones ‘Design from Home’ brief which aimed to inspire creatives in isolation. Outside of design, she says yoga – and her parrot, Harley – have kept her sane through the recent lockdowns.
Olivia is excited to gain invaluable real-world experience at Whistle, and we have no doubt she’ll bring a unique perspective to the studio and our team. Congratulations Olivia – We’re thrilled to have you on board.
